Jared Meeker is a Los Angeles-based composer for film, television, and visual media, known for his emotionally resonant, genre-crossing scores. His music has been featured in award-winning films such as Take Me to Tarzana (best comedy, WorldFest Houston), Fuel (best documentary, Sundance), Sunken City (best music, Dubuque Film Fest) and 3 (Grand Jury winner at Las Cruces Film Festival).
With a background in performance and composition from California Institute of the Arts, Jared brings a unique blend of classical training, contemporary production, and deep storytelling instincts to every project. His musical vocabulary spans everything from orchestral to electronic, hip-hop to ambient, with a focus on supporting visual narratives through sound.
Jared’s work has appeared on major networks including NBC, Showtime, MTV, CBS, and VH1. He has collaborated with industry composers like Zoë Keating and Alan Lazar, and worked across independent features, short films, documentaries, and series.
In addition to composition, Jared has contributed to the music tech world through his Meeker FX plugin brand and authored numerous educational books for Alfred Music. He is available for scoring, licensing, and creative collaboration.
